Overview

Our Client is a monthly-retained customer and phoned our telephone helpline to ask for advice following the publication of details relating to the impending prosecution of one of their employees.

The employee had responsibility for working with children and vulnerable service-users and their arrest was in relation to drug-supply offences.

Through our telephone guidance service, we advised the Client at arms-length through the gathering of evidence, suspension from duty of the employee and the development of disciplinary investigation paperwork.  When the investigation was concluded, our Client requested further face-to-face support to facilitate the disciplinary hearing.  The employee was summarily dismissed from their employment based upon their regular engagement with children and vulnerable adults.  We also facilitated the disciplinary appeal, guiding the Chief Operating Officer through the process to conclusion and permanent exit of the employee from the business.
